Are you a cricket fanatic who dreams of what it would be like to take a team to the top?
Introducing Cricket Manager 2020!
Cricket Manager 2020 is one of the world’s newest and most exciting cricket manager games. This app gives you the opportunity to manage a club right from the beginning, making success all the more sweeter as this is your little project!
This article will show you how to download the app, create your team name and how to prepare your squad for your first game.
Cricket Manager 2020 is available for free on both Android and iOS devices.
Download the app by searching for “Cricket Manager 2020” and then select “Cricket Manager 2020” by “Wicket Gaming AB”. When you open the app, you should see the below screen which means your app is getting ready.
Enter your name and team name
It is easy to create your own team name!
Just provide your name for a more personalised gaming experience. You can choose whatever name you want for your club, provided it hasn’t previously been taken. Like Twitter!
As easy as that, you’re in! You will see a Talent Acquisition Manager that often brings in a new, exciting player to join your squad.
The first thing you will then want to do is check out your squad. Press the top left icon on your app (highlighted below), and then select “Team”.
Note: the images below show a level 5 manager. You will begin at level 1 and work your way up!
You can then select any player to get the detail view, assess their strengths and weaknesses, and see what they need to work on in the ‘skills’ tab.
A final, crucial part of getting started on Cricket Manager 2020 is training your players to best get them ready for action!
Before your first game in the T20 League or Cup, you want to ensure your players are best prepared for batting, bowling and fielding.
The good news is that all training intensities are available!
To access training, select the top left icon again and choose “Training”. The number “4” means if you train your players four times, you will be gifted with a reward(s). This includes all in-game items. Take advantage and ensure you get your players best prepared!
On the training screen, you have the option of light, medium or heavy training.
A good tip is to start with light training then work up to heavy training. The example below is after light training first up followed up with heavy training.
As you can see, there has been an increase in the performance and skills of players after the second session. Now that two training sessions have been completed, perform two more (ideally medium and heavy) to earn your sponsor reward (more on that in our article “How to play Cricket Manager 2020 and win”).
Key tip: Ensure you don’t too much heavy training as that can fatigue your players. On the flip side, too much light training puts your players at risk of not being adequately prepared for matches. Make sure to keep a balance!
Seeing your players feel great is excellent news for any manager. You can then scroll down to see which players performed best in training, and then you can ensure to play them in your XI for the next match.
You are now set to go with Cricket Manager 2020!
